Born in India and currently living in USA for last 25 years, my love for travelling was developed by my family from a young age. Today, I proudly call myself a travel addict and am always ready to discover new places.


After finishing my MBA from Drexel University, USA and having worked for 20 plus years in the corporate world as a senior Marketing Manager in USA, I decided it was time for a new challenge. Coming from a background of advertising and event planning business in the family, creating my own travel business was the logical next step.

I developed “Cocoon Journey” after realizing that there is a real need for people who are seeking customized luxury comfort travel in a safe setting in India. Sadly, even though India has the most incredible experiences to offer that you cannot experience anywhere else, it receives a very small number of international travelers. I attribute those reasons to perceived notion of lack of safety and high quality customized travel services.

Through Cocoon Journey, I want to enable people to live their passion for travel in a luxurious and safe way in India. I want to show you the real Incredible India !

Having lived many years abroad and as a globe trotter, I had the opportunity to meet people from all over the globe and I would inquisitively ask them if they had ever been to India or have plans to do so. 

The instant reply would come as –“oh! I would love to but it is not a safe place”. My heart just used to break and my thoughts would take me to the Incredible India that I have experienced through my eyes. So, along with my sister Vandhana, I decided to come up with a solution to all their concerns in the form of “Cocoon Journey” – a boutique travel concierge that combines luxury with safety with your budget in mind. This is how Cocoon Journey was born.
